n.; pl. nesia [Gr. nesion, an islet]
(ARTHROPODA: Insecta)
In scarab beetle larvae, one or two sclerotized projecting marks between the inner end of the dexiotorma and crepis; when two are present, termed nesium externum and nesium internum; chitinous plate of Hayes.
